VerseWorthy is built to need as little of this as possible. There is no advertising, no tracking across sites, and no analytics profiling of visitors.
VerseWorthy sets one cookie, and only once you sign in. It is a session cookie named vwsess that keeps you signed in between pages. It contains nothing but a random session identifier, it cannot be read by scripts, and it is not used to track you. No consent is required for it: without it, signing in would not work.
Everything else — your projects, versions and interface preferences — is kept in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Local storage keeps your songs, versions, settings and interface choices available when you return. It never leaves your device, we cannot read it, and it identifies nothing about you. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings — which also deletes your saved projects, so export a backup first.
If cookies become necessary as the service develops, they would fall into these categories:
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Making the site work: security, load balancing, protecting against abuse | Not required |
| Authentication and session | Keeping you signed in, once accounts exist | Not required for the functionality you requested |
| Security | Detecting and preventing fraudulent or abusive use | Not required |
| Preferences | Remembering interface choices where a cookie is needed for it | Depends on implementation; consent where required |
| Analytics and marketing | Not used | Would require prior consent |
| Name | Purpose | Expires | Set by |

vwsess | Keeps you signed in | 30 days, or when you sign out | VerseWorthy |
| When you pay, Stripe's checkout page may set its own cookies on their page for fraud prevention and to complete the payment. That happens on stripe.com, not here, and is covered by Stripe's own policy. | |||
We will not place cookies that require consent under Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act or the ePrivacy rules until you have given that consent through a clear choice, with refusing as easy as accepting. If that becomes relevant, a consent banner will appear and this policy will be updated first.
The interface loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to that service and it receives your IP address as part of ordinary internet communication. No cookie is set by us for this. [CONFIRM FONT HOSTING APPROACH — SELF-HOSTING AVOIDS THIS REQUEST ENTIRELY]
Every major browser lets you view and delete cookies and local storage, block them by site, and browse privately. Blocking storage for this site means your projects will not persist between visits; the AI features will still work.
How we handle personal data generally is in the Privacy Policy. Questions: info@bootscootmedia.nl.
