This page is written in plain language. It explains what happens to your lyrics, what AI can and cannot do for you, and what you should check before releasing a song. Where it overlaps with the Terms of Service, the Terms are the binding version.
You keep every right you already had in the lyrics, titles, ideas and notes you put into VerseWorthy. Using this service does not transfer anything to us. We do not become a co-writer, we do not acquire a share, and we do not claim ownership.
Your projects stay in your own browser. We do not have them and cannot read them.
When you press a button that uses AI — review, write, rewrite, polish, co-writer, fact check — the text needed for that request travels to our server and on to our AI provider, and the answer comes back. We do not keep the text afterwards.
We do not use your lyrics to train AI models. If that ever changed, it would require your separate and freely given consent, and you would be free to say no.
The reviewing, writing and editing functions use large language models. They are good at craft observations and useless as an oracle. In practice this means output can be wrong, generic, inconsistent between attempts, or confidently mistaken about a fact. Treat every suggestion as a draft from a colleague who has not checked their work.
The AI-Slop Risk indicator describes how formulaic the writing is. It does not, and cannot, determine whether a lyric was written by a person or by a machine. No tool can do that reliably from text alone.
Please do not use it to accuse anyone. A songwriter who writes plainly, or in a second language, or who has edited carefully, can score in the same range as generated text. That is a limitation of the method, not evidence about the writer.
A generated line is not automatically new. Language models produce likely combinations of words, and likely combinations are, by definition, ones that have often been written before. Another user with a similar briefing may receive something similar or identical.
The distinctive-line search in Songwriter Studio helps you spot the obvious cases by looking up your most unusual line. It is a quick sanity check, not a search of everything ever written.
We cannot guarantee that anything produced with AI assistance is copyrightable, protectable, registrable, or free from resemblance to existing work. Rules about AI-assisted material differ by country and are still developing, and several jurisdictions require meaningful human authorship for protection.
What generally strengthens your position is your own creative contribution: your story, your choices, your revisions, your voice. What weakens it is accepting generated text unchanged. That is a practical observation, not legal advice.
Before you publish, register, licence, sell or release a song, take responsibility for the final text:
VerseWorthy prepares lyrics and instructions for Suno. We are independent: not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially supported by Suno.
What happens once you paste material into Suno is governed by Suno's own terms, including questions about the rights in generated audio. Please read them. Suno may change its behaviour at any time, and generation is not deterministic, so we cannot promise that instructions will be followed exactly.
Compatibility with other AI music generators is not guaranteed. The lyric tools work anywhere because they only deal with words; the generator-specific formatting is built for Suno.
The fact-check function is assistance, not verification. It flags things worth checking and distinguishes between a clear internal inconsistency, a likely factual problem, and something merely worth looking up. It can miss errors and can occasionally raise false ones. For songs about real people or real events, verify independently.
Nothing here or anywhere in VerseWorthy is legal advice, copyright clearance or rights management. We are a songwriting tool. For advice about your rights, your contracts or your registrations, consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
